Ehren Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 #148 and #150 are working as intended. The background is given a defined width in Chameleon due to the frosted effect. It doesn't happen in any other theme, and is fixed upon refresh. The search bar overlays the navigation when it's expanded, otherwise the navigation is given even less space to occupy.
Koby Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Okay, just making sure about things I noticed. I hope I'm not bothering you too much with this. Is there a better way or place I should have posted about all this? The other issue shouldn't come into effect that often if any, because I doubt too many users would use a resolution within those specs these days and I only had them because I was stretching and shrinking windows just to test the responsiveness; which the average user wouldn't be doing at least not on any normal basis.
Ehren Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 I'm going to spend tonight working on a solution for large navigation menu's. It'll delay the theme updates (which are actually ready to be released), but I'd rather make them perfect first. Ideally, they'll then be able to cope with unlimited navigation items, regardless of browser width. A debounce function will also be added to improve browser performance for resize events.
Koby Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 One other thing while I'm thinking about it. This isn't about the themes, but rather the IPSFocus page. How about updating the orange badge to reflect 4.1.x just so people know which IPS4 themes have been fully updated besides checking the progress page; especially since 4.1.x has a lot of differences in the themes. I bet this would help with purchases from buyers who don't really look around the rest of the site.

Ehren Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 I've just finished recoding the navigation on all themes, allowing for unlimited links in drop-down menu's. This now means that themes such as Dimension will not break if too many links exist in the navigation bar - they'll simply collapse into a "More" menu. Feel free to play around with the new navigation on Dimension, Villain and Animate to try and find bugs. The drop-down navigation system can be enabled on any ipsfocus theme (if desired), instead of using the two-line tabbed navigation.
Empire Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Nicely done. I can start doing the dog dance with evil laugh. Wanted to say that I'm definitely looking forward to the New Awards system that will be released soon after they tested it. And my uniform will get it. 1
Prostheta Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Any ideas as to why the dropdown menus generated by the Menu Manager are unresponsive in Chameleon? The subitems are there in the code, however clicking the menu doesn't reveal it. This really screws up a site's functionality on a fundamental level....
Koby Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Just want to re-confirm that this issue is happening to other people. Here is a screenshot my friend sent me: He said it happens between 980px to 1000px. So for about 20px it remains broken.

This issue will be fixed in the next update, which will be available in a few hours. IPS changed the behaviour of drop-down menu's in the latest suite version. Your browser zoom level is on 100%, correct? View > Zoom > Reset

Ehren Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 All 4.0.x themes (with the exception of Subway which will be released shortly) have been upgraded for 4.1.3, including significant bug fixes and improved navigation. To make it easier for customers to stay up to date with announcements, I've created a pinned topic in the customer area. 1
Sixth Sense Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Hello. There are a few bugs regarding Chameleon's theme (not sure if they only appear on Chameleon) that I noticed today: 1. When you are viewing a profile and you press either View Activity or View Profile button, suddenly some sort of extra layer appears on the corner of navigation menu. Please see the image below. 2. Continuing this issue, I'm not sure if that's a bug or not, but when you click on either of the buttons, you are automatically moved to the top of the page. It does not occur on default theme, but only on Chameleon. If that's a "feature", is there a way to disable it? Regards

Sixth Sense Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 One more thing, I'm unable to make a purchase through PayPal when I attempt to purchase the theme from Theme Shop in this site. For some reason, it requests me to add a credit/debit card (mine recently expired) and does not allow me to pay with PayPal balance (uses presence check). Thus, is the version of Chameleon in IPS Marketplace exactly the same as here (latest)? I'd make the purchase through there then. Thanks
Claire Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The link in your sig says some of the themes are not done, do we just download from the client area to get the 4.1.x upgrades (say for me it's Dispersion)?

Yeah, the marketplace files are the same as the ones on here. I've seen a few customers with this issue. A credit card may be required due to the subscription feature, but I'm not 100% sure.. The link in your sig says some of the themes are not done, do we just download from the client area to get the 4.1.x upgrades (say for me it's Dispersion)? Dispersion is not yet completed The only 4.1 themes are the ones with 100% progress bars. 2
Sixth Sense Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 My final concern now. Let's say I would do some template edits on your theme, for example, user profiles: add more details in the header; create custom tabs etc, then would all this custom data get wiped out if you would release a new version of the theme and I would simply update it (using upload a new version feature)? Thanks
Ehren Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 The Update feature doesn't seem to be too reliable at the moment.. I've had a few customers with issues after using it. HTML and css edits will need to be redone. The navigation tabs are stored in the database and aren't affected by the theme. To keep code changes manageable, place your css edits inside custom.css (then you simply need to copy/paste that file into your newly imported theme). HTML modifications will need to be managed manually.
Claire Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Dispersion is not yet completed The only 4.1 themes are the ones with 100% progress bars. Ohhhhhh, I misunderstood... Any idea when it will be ready? Am just curious since we are gonna upgrade when it's done. ^^
Ehren Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 Dispersion will hopefully be done in the next 48 hours 1
Empire Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Dispersion will hopefully be done in the next 48 hours The list is getting smaller and soon all themes completed. Once you have time and their is not much work going on with the theme upgrade.. You still going to upgrade the 3x theme or maybe start making very new themes from scratch
Sixth Sense Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Due to that issue, I will purchase it through IPS. However, you mentioned that all themes were upgraded to 4.1.3 All 4.0.x themes (with the exception of Subway which will be released shortly) have been upgraded for 4.1.3, including significant bug fixes and improved navigation. But in IPS Marketplace, its version is still 4.1.2 (https://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/7098-chameleon-ipsfocuscom/). Is it the same version? And if I purchase it through there, would I become a customer here too?

I'm currently doing minor maintenance on the files, so they'll be uploaded (on this site and the marketplace) when I'm done. Your account will need to be manually upgraded on here, since the marketplace database and my site aren't associated. Just PM me once you've made your purchase 1
vla20071 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Hello. Looking forward to the style of "Snapshot" for 4.1.x
