Ehren Posted December 16, 2012 at 11:20 AM Posted December 16, 2012 at 11:20 AM Hi everyone, All skins are now compatible with IP.Board 3.4.1. This update fixes the "missing editor" bug on 3.4.1 dark skins and includes a few additional bug fixes and minor enhancements. 4
alexp999 Posted December 16, 2012 at 11:59 AM Posted December 16, 2012 at 11:59 AM Thanks, been waiting for this before upgrading from 3.3.4 Just one quick question, I assume there were no changes to the mobile skin between 3.4.0 and 3.4.1, as Slate doesn't seem to have been upgraded. Cheers.

Sull Posted December 20, 2012 at 05:10 PM Posted December 20, 2012 at 05:10 PM I'll be checking Slate tomorrow. It usually doesn't require many updates. That's exactly what I came here wondering, would be cool if any changes exist if you could tell us what they are, I've made modifications to the skin and it would be much easier. Thanks
Ehren Posted December 20, 2012 at 11:56 PM Author Posted December 20, 2012 at 11:56 PM No changes are required for Slate, so you're fine to continue with the current version.
Purple Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:59 AM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:59 AM Ehren, I really love your work!
Ant_ Posted January 5, 2013 at 06:44 PM Posted January 5, 2013 at 06:44 PM Ehren, any chance of getting what needs changed to fix just the edit boxes so i can do it manually? i've made a fair few changes to the template i bought so overwriting it with a full upgrade is a bit of a pain
Ehren Posted January 6, 2013 at 12:36 AM Author Posted January 6, 2013 at 12:36 AM There are dozens of code changes between the versions, so it's suggested that you install the 3.4.x version if you're upgrading to 3.4. The only way to keep your changes is to use the template merge center to generate a report, and then upgrade the skin yourself.
Ant_ Posted January 7, 2013 at 10:45 PM Posted January 7, 2013 at 10:45 PM I understand the dozens of changes but i'm only after the one to fix the edit boxes, the rest i'm not worried about as bar the edit box it's working fine
Ehren Posted January 7, 2013 at 11:14 PM Author Posted January 7, 2013 at 11:14 PM Create a topic in the customer area (and let me know what skin you have) and I'll send through the changes..
jwsound Posted January 23, 2013 at 04:46 PM Posted January 23, 2013 at 04:46 PM Maintenance update for IPB to v. 3.4.2 has just been released. Are there any compatibility issues with themes that have already been updated for v. 3.4x?
Ehren Posted January 23, 2013 at 11:28 PM Author Posted January 23, 2013 at 11:28 PM I'm not sure - it was released over night for me so I have not checked yet. 1
Ehren Posted January 24, 2013 at 03:40 AM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 03:40 AM A few minor changes are needed, mostly HTML and luckily none in ipb_styles.css
d33j4y Posted January 24, 2013 at 04:15 AM Posted January 24, 2013 at 04:15 AM I didnt notice any issues in the Dimension skin but thanks for the info Ehren!!
Sull Posted January 24, 2013 at 08:44 AM Posted January 24, 2013 at 08:44 AM Keep an eye on slate, there should be some changes related to https in the nexus templates.
Ehren Posted January 24, 2013 at 12:45 PM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 12:45 PM The Nexus templates are unmodified, so they'll be upgraded automatically
nodle Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:05 PM Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:05 PM So do you think it's safe to do the update or should I wait for the skin upgrades first?
Ehren Posted January 24, 2013 at 10:31 PM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 10:31 PM I don't see any major issues so you should be fine, but I haven't tested the 3.4.1 skins on 3.4.2 yet. I'll be upgrading them over the next few days, however this weekend is a long weekend (with a public holiday tomorrow) so there may be a slight delay.

That's absurd, you work every day all day, including when you sleep, sleep on your keyboard All jokes aside, I updated my dev board to 3.4.2 and doing a few basic tests over the last little bit I don't see anything that could really hurt your forum until the skins are updated, this doesn't mean you won't run into issues. I have Ehren's Slate and Underground from skinbox running tip top. 1
nodle Posted January 24, 2013 at 10:41 PM Posted January 24, 2013 at 10:41 PM Ya thought I would chime and say that I also did the update and haven't seen any major problems either. Enjoy the Holiday Ehren! 1
Kevin Dube Posted January 25, 2013 at 12:05 AM Posted January 25, 2013 at 12:05 AM anyone using baisik and upgrade to 4.4.2? Any issues?
Ehren Posted January 25, 2013 at 09:08 AM Author Posted January 25, 2013 at 09:08 AM There are no reported issues with the 3.4.1 skins on a 3.4.2 forum. There are minor changes between the versions, but nothing critical. The skins will hopefully be upgraded/released next week. 1
The Alchemist Posted January 26, 2013 at 11:33 AM Posted January 26, 2013 at 11:33 AM I am having all kinds of quoting issues and liking posts issues using Infinite Light on 3.4.2 - it doesn't happen on the default IPB skin.
d33j4y Posted January 26, 2013 at 09:26 PM Posted January 26, 2013 at 09:26 PM As was stated, the fixes from ipb 3.4.1 to 3.4.2 were mostly editor related so that will include post content etc.! Wont be long before Ehren has all of his skins updated as he does get updates done very fast!!
The Alchemist Posted January 26, 2013 at 11:53 PM Posted January 26, 2013 at 11:53 PM Sorry the issues weren't because of the skin, there was something weird going on with the media tags - sorry
