Ehren
I'm happy to announce the release of Infinite, which is a customizable skin with up to 16,777,216 possible color combinations. The skin uses a jQuery based color picker, allowing your members to choose their own colour scheme for the design. The colours are saved as cookies, allowing the user to return to your website days, weeks or even months later and still see their customized design. Infinite also utilizes avatars as post icons, and has a jQuery based quick-login form for guests. As always, the skin is compatible with the most recent versions of IP.Board and the components (blogs, gallery, downloads manager, chat and nexus). I have also populated the demo board with most of the other premade skins available here - so if you're interested in any other designs, feel free to take a look! The infinite design is also installed there, so check out the color picker and let me know what you think!

nodle
One more question, is there anyway to "lock" a color into place not allowing your members to change it? Just kinda wondering.
Ehren
Yep - you would just need to remove the color picker feature. Quite a simple modification if you need to do it.

Great idea thinking ahead Ehren. I am sure others will be wondering this also. You should make a tutorial on how to do it. You never cease to amaze me with your skins Ehren. Gaffney
I'm very impressed but I have one question. The color range can I change it to other ranges or remove some ? I only fancy really having a green range. Also I take it would be easy to change the background color from black to say green ?
Ehren
The colour picker can't be limited as such, however the background can be changed very easily in the css without any hassle.
Aleari
Wow this is very impressive. Is there anyway to change the white sections so that its a complete dark skin? Very nice work, I will be purchasing this one.
Ehren
It's possible, however it would just be quite time consuming.
Aleari
Aw, that's too bad. I still love it though!
MadMikeyB
It's possible, however it would just be quite time consuming. Any way you could add another style switcher so people can tick the box kinda thing? So, they choose the perfect colour via the jquery colour chooser, then, if they want it completely dark, tick the box to make the white parts grey? This is the only thing stopping me buying it
Ehren
A skin which has both a light and dark color scheme would be too hard to manage (and would be quite tricky to make actually). A dark version of the skin may be made during my spare time.. if anyone purchases the light version and wants the dark one too, I'll be happy to offer a discount - however both light and dark colour schemes won't be included as part of the one design. nodle
I could get into a dark version. Plus you know me I buy all your skins lol.

This is the only thing stopping me buying it Gosh if that were to happen I would love Ehren forever. I know it's complicated but I have only seen one skin do it before and it was absolutely amazing. The fact it is light is a disappointment but Im sure some of my users would like the light sections. The color changer itself is the reason I want it so bad haha. I will buy this one anyway but if a dark one came out I would prefer that one. I would purchase the dark and light if I got a nice discount on the dark too. Maybe the dark being 10 dollars for those that bought the white one too. 25 if you didn't. Maybe? ^^'
Kngkyle
I love love love the color changing feature but I really wish it came with a dark color scheme. Definitely a unique feature that is very attractive.
Ehren
A dark version is planned - just not sure when it will be available. As mentioned earlier, if anyone who decides to purchase the light version, they will be able to buy the dark version at a discounted price when it's released. A light/dark color scheme won't be released as one skin, however if a user chooses their own color using the color picker and then changes skin from the light to the dark (using the skin changer at the bottom), their custom color selection will still be saved and used on the dark version. Oh thats nice, could you not just put up a little icon for L/D and when you click D it takes you to the dark version? Or would that be no because they would have to come as a package? Im excited about the dark version, I'll buy the Light soon to hold me off though
Ehren
It's possible to have a light/dark toggle, but it would need to be manually inserted, otherwise it's pointless for those who purchase just one version. It would also need to be configured since you would need to insert your skin id's into the code, which vary on every site. So it wouldn't come standard, but it would be possible to insert manually. AlexJ
Just to make few things clear before I purchase another skin, as IPB totally killed CleanCut with lack of updates. 1. On some forums, they claimed, that avatar in topics, uses 30 queries per page load. Not sure how much it's true. Can you please confirm, how much extra queries it will add? 2. The present white background is too bright for me. Is there anyway, I can make it something like cleancut? If yes, how? Will it be easy? 3. I can make the skin full width, right? 4. Can I move the menu bar on top? At present it is half way down the top. I want to use drop down at the top and then forum menu bar there after. Looking forward for another purchase. Thank you. Ehren
Hey, 1. The amount of additional queries is 1, so there won't be any additional server load. 2. The background can be changed easily in the stylesheet by modifying the body tag. No other images rely on a white background, so you won't run into any problems if you decide to change this (to a dark one for example). 3. Yep - it can be fixed or fluid (or both, with a min/max width) 4. Not entirely sure what you mean here (a screenshot might help), but the code used is quite easy to modify/reposition. Amfidiusz
Great job, Ehren! As always! Is it possible to set a default colour in a colour picker? It is, a colour that will be displayed first time a guest enters the site? And +1 from me for a dark version!
