Ehren Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Feel free to answer.. just wondering what people are using. The questions allow multiple answers, so if you commonly use more than 1, then fill it out. 1
isaacsol Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I use Flock, based off of Firefox. I have a mod for it that allows it to run certain pages as IE (like my schools Microsoft Web Outlook, which is horrible in anything but IE). At the moment, I run Windows XP Home SP2, though I will be getting a new laptop, which will no doubt have Windows 7 soon. Here is a link to the mod for firefox I mentioned above: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/ (it will work for most Firefox based browsers, such as Flock) 1
Mister Kravitz Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I use Firefox mostly, but I'll probably switch to Chrome once it starts getting more plug-ins/extensions. And I've been using Windows 7 (first the beta and now the retail) for months. It's much, much better than Vista.
Ehren Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 That IE addon looks good... doesn't work on mac though lol
isaacsol Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I think there is a mac version of Flock, which allows the use of mozilla addons, even if they are not compatible for Firefox for Mac
Alec Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I guess I'm sticking too FIrefox for now... I downloaded the Google Chrome Beta for Mac a couple weeks ago, it's good. Can't wait I'm all about the interface of a browser, and I did not like Flock's. I gave it a try, I just couldn't.
Ehren Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 I mainly use Firefox due to the plugins. Helps a lot when solving template/design problems. And it's reliable.
isaacsol Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 What plugins do you use for web developing Ehren? The main reason I chose Flock was because of a random virus, Firefox failed to work, so I got Flock as it was based off of Firefox and I fell in love with it.
Ehren Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 I have the webdeveloper toolbar which is really the only one I use.
pRieStaKoS Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I have the webdeveloper toolbar which is really the only one I use. Me too.....its problem solver !!! I use Windows 7 Ultimate and Firefox 3.5
Eternal Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Just wondering has anyone tried the Chrome 4.0 version now? A few very nice features have been added like pinned tabs and extensions.
Fishfish0001 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Chrome for normal web browsing, Firefox for Devlopment and Java Games since Chrome hates cPanel and doesn't support Java on Mac's yet. Mac OSX Rawks
