Hi everyone,

All existing 4.5 themes have just been upgraded to version 4.5.3, which include the following fixes:

- Compatible with Invision Community 4.5.3
- Custom forum icons now work correctly in themes which were previously broken
- A horizontal scrollbar issue (which happened when the topic summary was enabled) has been fixed
- Post buttons now wrap correctly on mobiles, following an issue from the last update
- Icons on the Activity Stream no longer sit on top of the mobile footer bar
- The Customizer now has a customised scrollbar in compatible webkit browsers
- Removed the border-radius from the post button bar on mobiles
- Moved the post button bar below signatures on mobiles
- Simplified the post buttons on mobiles, resulting in a cleaner layout
- Ensure “week” is translated in the Countdown timer
- A situation where double arrows were shown in the navigation bar has been fixed
- The tooltip for the light mode toggle now correctly says “Light Mode” instead of “Dark Mode”
- The box-shadow for highlighted replies now works correctly in all themes

All other 4.4 themes are being worked on to upgrade them to 4.5. Announcements will be made in this News forum when more information is available :)

Is there an option not to owerwrite the "custom.css" in case of an update of the theme?

I believe custom.css intentionally isn't overwritten, so your changes should be maintained. As a precaution, simply copy/paste the contents of your custom.css into a temporary Notepad/Text Edit file before you upgrade.

Was the Firefox specific "lots of text" overflow bug fixed in this?

Was this reported on the forum anywhere? I don't recall seeing this.

@Ehren Do you not recommend the parent/child theme setup anymore ?

Yeah, I still recommend it. The parent/child setup should ideally be used but that's not always the case on some forums :)

It was overwritten on all installed themes i upgraded. I have before backed it up so it was not a problem... But in future, it would be nice, if the custom.css stays unaltered ... Because there are the translations of the theme texts ...

That functionality is controlled by the Invision suite rather than my themes. I was under the assumption that custom.css stayed in tact though, so that's potentially a bug with the software.

No, normally it's not overwritten at all

Never seen that getting overwritten.

That should be working correctly. If your custom.css file is being overwritten, maybe contact Invision to see if they’ve heard about it before.

About theme updates...

I have bought themes from here, then uploaded them on my site. Last week, I "matched" the themes from inside the admin panel on IPB and since I can't update them.

I use different email addresses here and on the IPB site, don't know if it matters.

As far as I'm aware, themes offered on Marketplace are not in sync with themes offered here.

Hmm, I guess I made the mistake of matching mine too.  I bought them from this site.  I still have the upload new version option though.

I'm unfortunately not sure how the matching feature works since I haven't done that on my development board. I would probably suggest that if you purchase/download the themes from this site, then it might be best to avoid using the "matching feature" just incase it causes any conflicts with upgrades.
