Thomas Bergant Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Hi, Is there an option not to owerwrite the "custom.css" in case of an update of the theme?
Ero-Neko Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Was the Firefox specific "lots of text" overflow bug fixed in this?

I believe custom.css intentionally isn't overwritten, so your changes should be maintained. As a precaution, simply copy/paste the contents of your custom.css into a temporary Notepad/Text Edit file before you upgrade. 40 minutes ago, Ero-Neko said: Was the Firefox specific "lots of text" overflow bug fixed in this? Was this reported on the forum anywhere? I don't recall seeing this.

Guest Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Hi, how can I update the theme without lose changes as custom logo, customo background, etc? Thank you in advance!

I have before backed it up so it was not a problem... But in future, it would be nice, if the custom.css stays unaltered ... Because there are the translations of the theme texts ...

That functionality is controlled by the Invision suite rather than my themes. I was under the assumption that custom.css stayed in tact though, so that's potentially a bug with the software.

No, normally it's not overwritten at all

Never seen that getting overwritten.
Thomas Bergant Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I updated the themes via the "Upload a new version". Maybe i'm doing it wrong?
Ehren Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 That should be working correctly. If your custom.css file is being overwritten, maybe contact Invision to see if they’ve heard about it before.
b416 Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 About theme updates... I have bought themes from here, then uploaded them on my site. Last week, I "matched" the themes from inside the admin panel on IPB and since I can't update them. I use different email addresses here and on the IPB site, don't know if it matters.

Hmm, I guess I made the mistake of matching mine too. I bought them from this site. I still have the upload new version option though.

I'm unfortunately not sure how the matching feature works since I haven't done that on my development board. I would probably suggest that if you purchase/download the themes from this site, then it might be best to avoid using the "matching feature" just incase it causes any conflicts with upgrades.

Square Wheels Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I uploaded a new version for Novus and Carbon. I have a custom.css. It did not get overwritten.
