Ehren Posted August 7, 2020 at 03:25 AM Posted August 7, 2020 at 03:25 AM With 4.5 edging closer, here's another sneak peak of a new feature coming to all ipsfocus themes: the Mobile Footer. The mobile footer sticks to the bottom of your mobile/tablet, providing easy access to commonly used links throughout your site: The links can be configured using a simple theme setting in your ACP: And if some of your members wish to remove it, they can do so easily via The Customizer: A nice and simple Sneak Peak this time, but one which should be well received by your mobile users! 5 3
uA_Y_C_A Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:22 AM Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:22 AM Awesome Thank you so much
David.. Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:44 AM Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:44 AM Oh! That looks very nice! I wonder how fluid and responsive it is! Can't wait to try it!
ThomasP Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:56 AM Posted August 7, 2020 at 06:56 AM Mobile Ads will show below the footer, right?

Do you have an example (or screenshot) of what you mean exactly? Mobile ads should display at the bottom of the content, like normal. The mobile footer simply behaves like a sticky/fixed header. It sticks to the bottom of your screen and overlays any content beneath it.
MythonPonty Posted August 7, 2020 at 11:52 AM Posted August 7, 2020 at 11:52 AM Custom Links also available or just fix Invision Items ?

It isn't built to be compatible with those sorts of ads. 1 hour ago, Gargamel said: Custom Links also available or just fix Invision Items ? You can add your own links, but that would need to be done manually by modifying the HTML.
Freddie M Posted August 7, 2020 at 01:05 PM Posted August 7, 2020 at 01:05 PM @Ehren: Can we group items up? One thing I have done with an application is add a streams tab - I'd prefer to keep this type of flexibility with the bottom menu I have as it makes a lot sense to group the items I want to list within that tab. It saves space for other important icons. This looks fab BTW, please, please, stop making me want 4.5

With that said, the "More" link on the right side will trigger the normal hamburger navigation panel which contains all of your navigation links. If you need a dropdown (well, dropup) menu system, you'll need to continue using your current solution or you'd need to make HTML, css and javascript modifications to the ipsfocus one. Sorry about that! 1

Rotation and end dates are important to us when delivering the ads, which works well with the builtin function.
Ehren Posted August 9, 2020 at 10:23 PM Author Posted August 9, 2020 at 10:23 PM @ThomasP Since space is already fairly limited while using ads like that, I’d probably advise against using the mobile footer in your case
ThomasP Posted August 10, 2020 at 06:46 AM Posted August 10, 2020 at 06:46 AM Thanks Ehren - I agree, probably we should keep our current footer as it is. It would be nice to have the ad slot below everything else, i.e. after the ips footer, though. In that case we (all as ips users) are more flexible... Like in this mockup:
Freddie M Posted August 12, 2020 at 04:32 PM Posted August 12, 2020 at 04:32 PM @Ehren: Can the menu be turned off per user/member? If not, could this be looked into?
