How to give someone Admin CP???

I know there is a way to do this but I don't know how. How do you give someone access to the admin cp? Currently I'm giving them my account info for my forums account but I've seen other people using ips give other people access to the admin cp. please help

You just need to promote their account to Administrator.

ACP > Members > Staff > Administrators

Well, thats the thing. I want to give the AdminCP to my developer and it will look weird if his rank is administrators on the forums. Is there any way to maybe copy the administrators group and make a new version of it and change the group name etc.

It may be possible, however I've never needed to do that myself so I'm not entirely sure.

Alternatively, just create a "Developer" group which has access to the ACP.

You can use secondary groups. If you assign a secodary group to a user his/her rank will not be shown ( unless you use an extra plugin )
