  1. You can change the icon which you pointed to in your screenshot by going to ACP > Community > Forums > *Edit your forum* > Customization > Icon. If you’re referring to topic thumbnails (in topic feeds), it grabs the first image from the topic and uses it as the thumbnail. Adding support for uploadable thumbnails may come in a future v5 update.
  2. Shift is in development However for simplicity, I don't have any plans to introduce the colour picker in the v5 theme. The default (blue) colour will be editable via the Theme Editor, but members won't be able to choose their own color combination. The rest of the theme will look the same as the v4 one.
  3. @Pildi When you edit a forum in your ACP, you’ll be given the option to upload your own icon (or select an existing icon/emoji from the icon picker) This isn’t a theme editor thing, but rather a software setting.
  4. When you edit a forum in the ACP, you'll be given the option to upload your own forum icon. If you don't want the thumbnails shown in the Topics widget, you can change the widget design to something else (or remove images altogether) using the Page Editor.
  5. Hi @henkbart In v5, you can upload custom icons (or choose icons/emoji) via the forum settings. If you’d like to set a universal fallback image, that just requires some CSS (which I can provide in the customer area if you need more guidance)
  6. Wow!! Surely that’s a record here. I’d be shocked if anyone is able to beat that!
  7. Wild! That’s an eternity in internet years. I really appreciate the support over that time, thank you!
  8. Thanks all, much appreciated!
  9. Hi @Jsensation If you’re ready to upgrade to v5 (how exciting!), you can let your v4 license lapse. Since the v5 theme is a major upgrade, it’s not included as part of the v4 subscription so it requires a fresh purchase. However, since you own an active v4 license, you’ll be able to purchase the v5 theme at a heavily discounted rate compared to new customers. If you need any assistance cancelling your current subscription, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
  10. Two decades ago today, a much younger version of myself started this site as a hobby. Today marks its 20 year anniversary, a huge milestone that I never could have imagined back then. During this time, I’ve had the chance to design custom themes for hundreds of communities, interact with an incredible group of customers and watch so many forums grow and thrive. Running this site has never just been about themes, but also seeing the communities which you run, hearing your feedback, and constantly trying to improve my work over time. To everyone who has purchased a theme, recommended a theme to others, left feedback, reported a bug or suggested an idea, thank you. Your support over the past 20 years is the reason this site still exists today. The web has changed a lot during this time (iPhones didn't even exist back then, so mobile layouts weren't even a thing), but one thing hasn’t changed: communities still matter. And I’m grateful that my themes have been able to play a small role in helping people customize them. So here’s to the past 20 years and hopefully many more to come! Thank you all for being part of the journey - and keep an eye out for more v5 themes (as well as this community finally being upgraded to v5) in the near future!
  11. Deflection: Now available for Invision Community 5 Deflection is a clean theme with vivid primary and secondary colours and an optional Background Picker for the header. Perfect for any community, but especially great for gaming sites! Deflection has been coded from scratch for Invision Community v5 and introduces a brand new light mode which sits alongside the dark mode that v4 customers will be familiar with. Your members can use the Background Picker to choose their own image for the header from a predefined selection (you can also upload separate images for light and dark mode). Take a look at the demo and feel free to leave your feedback or suggestions below!
  12. The preview site is not open to registrations or logins. It's purely used to demonstrate how the themes look (on a simulated community).

  14. Hello, The Deflection theme has been on the demo board for the past 5 days (you need to select it from the Theme menu at the bottom of the page) and will be available shortly for purchase. The v5 themes are running on a completely new framework and have been coded from scratch as it's not possible to copy/paste any v4 code. The background picker is completely custom, and extra time was needed for light mode since Dimension has previously only been a dark theme, so unfortunately these things take time. I genuinely do apologise for the delay and will do my best to have this theme available for you as soon as possible.
  15. By “zoomed in”, are they just referring to the font-size? The size was increased from 13px to 14px to improve accessibility, but you can easily change it in the theme settings if they want something smaller. The mega footer is no longer needed since widgets can be dragged into the footer in v5. So you can add almost anything (stats, feeds, online members, custom HTML, etc). Much more versatile
