IPB on localhost not working

It's me again

I managed to work on IPB on my home pc with wamp a lot before but with a clean install. Today I tried to copy my sites database (1gb) into wamp wich was a pain in the a but it worked, and configured phpmyadmin, my conf_global file and it almost works. The only problem is there is no text nor in the front end nor in the backend I think I messed up somewhere in the database setup.

Any ideas?

*Meanwhile I did a clean install too to see if that works and it does, I copied the new and clean forums conf_global.php to the non working forum and changed only the things that are necessary (board url, database name) and it still has no content

I use wamp a lot of my server here at home and no problem. Having a hard time getting what you mean. If you are uploading your database does it go without a problem. I no wamp by default does not take a 1gb file unless configed which is a pain.

I can give a command that will import the database with cmd in one pass if thats the problem.

Or if the site is showing a database error are you typing the right info in the default username for the database is root and no password then the database name is what you made.
