Rutabaga Posted September 2 Author Posted September 2 This arrived in my email today: Quote Hello, I hope this email finds you well. This is our second email notifying you of these upcoming changes. I want to express our sincerest appreciation for your continued loyalty and trust in Invision Community. Your support has had a significant impact to our growth and success, and we are genuinely grateful to have you as a continued part of our community. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service, we want to let you know that your current cloud plan is part of our legacy offerings being retired on October 1, 2025. To ensure our platform keeps pace, we’ve invested heavily in a modern cloud infrastructure that offers enhanced scalability, improved security, multi-region redundancy and better performance, along with service options across US and EU regions to meet compliance regulations. Maintaining two separate platforms has allowed us to support legacy users as long as possible. However, due to rising operational costs and the growing limitations of older systems, we’ve reached a point where we can no longer continue supporting the legacy platform effectively. As a result, we will be retiring our legacy offerings on October 1, 2025 and asking all legacy clients to choose a new plan for your community. We understand that choosing a new plan is an important decision, and we are here to assist you every step of the way. To ease the transition, we are offering a Creator Pro Trial plan, available at a reduced rate of $70/month for six months. This is a trial period of the Creator Pro plan seen here which includes access to all core applications, full Pages access and more. Many of our clients choose this plan as it provides a great mix of features. This trial will give you the opportunity to try that out as you explore your long-term options. To take advantage of the trial plan, please contact us at accounts@invisionpower.com so we can move your community to that plan and grant you the discount. After six months, on April 1, 2026, it will adjust to the regular Creator Pro plan pricing, currently $169/month and will observe the Creator Pro plan features and offerings seen here. Since our offerings differ per plan, we do encourage you to review and choose the best plan for you. If you do not require all features, we can apply the discount to the Creator Trial plan, available at a reduced rate of $50/month for six months. If you choose to forgo the Creator or Creator Pro Trial plans for another plan from our current offerings, you can go to Manage this purchase, then "Upgrade my plan" to select the plan. Should you opt not to continue with us by choosing a new plan, on October 1 your community will be turned offline and no additional payments will process from stored payment methods on your account. If you pay monthly, no funds will be returned for unused time between your renewal and the October 1 date. Lastly, while we have you, we also wish to share our excitement about our new version of the Invision Community platform: v5. This marks a major milestone in our journey to deliver value and functionality that are largely unmatched in the industry. This update will be available to you immediately upon the transition to a new package (including the Creator Pro Trial). Please see more details about v5 - we are confident you will not be disappointed! Thank you again for your continued business and support. We’re excited about what the future holds and look forward to supporting your success with the enhanced features, performance and modernization of v5. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at accounts@invisionpower.com Warm regards, Lindy Throgmartin I don't see anything about staying on the Gen 4, unless the idea is that we pay the Gen 5 price to stay on Gen 4. That seems crazy to me. R
Ehren Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Some of the cloud plans are being retired in favour of new ones. You’ll be required to switch to one of the new cloud plans but you can still use the v4 software. You’ll also be able to upgrade to v5 at any point if you wish to do so for no additional cost
Rutabaga Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 I just heard back from the company and apparently that is correct -- we CAN stay on v4 but will pay the v5 price, which happens to be triple our current rate. Much to ponder. R
kobayashi90 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 still waiting for deflection.. its not nice to be on invision 5 still..
