What to replace Shift with?

We have been using shift for the best part of 5 years but it's now starting to show its age. Some of our members are somewhat resistant to change but equally we're keen to keep the site looking fresh.

Is the shift theme due to be updated soon to reflect modern design trends? Or perhaps is there a newer theme that would give us flexibility to mimic the shift colours without making it seem like a radical change?

illuminate Pro has been quite popular. It's the most recent theme and offers a minimal and modern design in both a light and dark colour scheme.

With that said, you likely know your audience better than anyone and potentially spend a long time viewing it yourself, so the decision would best be up to you

Thanks Ehren. I much prefer Illuminate to Shift but it seems to lack the colour picker feature.

Our members are very very resistant to any kind of change so any change will likely result in complaints, moreso if I take away their ability to pick a colour of their choice. A dark variant is nice but no match for being able to choose desired colours.

Are there any new themes in the pipeline with the colour picker feature?
