Shall we wait for the themes to be updated or is it safe to upgrade ?

I'm in no hurry since its not a security release and also I have no computer access till late morning tomorrow.

I thought about updating it myself but the theme difference tool scared me away, too much work

It's safe and sound  there aren't any HTML/CSS changes

Yeah 4.1.12.2 is just bug fixes for things unrelated to anything theme-wise. So seems it's good to go.

I did already I don't believe there are any template changes.

The theme tool doesn't mention any template changes yet, so I imagine it's fine.
