canibus
You guys have some nice looking skins! Carbon Orange or one of the Carbons is the one I want I think. I was curious though, there's no way it'll work in ie7?
Ehren
Hello, I no longer have an installation of IE7 to test them on, but they should work pretty well - especially since the Carbon skins are fairly basic (they don't include any transparency or heavy css3 like some of the newer skins, etc). canibus
That's cool. I guess I should have rephrased it as fallback display anyways. From what I understand IPB supports ie7 and for the most part even ie6 (you of course lose some visuals) but there are fallbacks set in place. Old browsers don't have to look exactly like they would in a new broser, but I want to ensure my community is still functional to a user using an old browser. canibus
Would that answer also apply to "Splat" ? And if I choose to pay for the branding removal at a different time how difficult would that be to update? I want to ensure everything runs smoothly before I pay for the removal as well. (and judging by the demo, it runs fine)
Solution Ehren Posted March 21, 2013 Solution Share Posted March 21, 2013 Splat and Carbon were both designed and coded a while ago, and they both likely support IE7 very well. The main issue with IE7 is the lack of support for border-radius and box-shadow which are both used fairly extensively. Apart from that, the general layout/functionality should work just fine. Removing the branding link is easy to do at any stage. Instructions are provided once you've purchased it, and it just requires you to remove one line from the code. 1 Send PM

canibus
Also wanted to note that my community went from looking boring to bad ass in about 3 minutes. (My site is not launched yet) I'm pretty damn happy so far.

canibus
Just another question, I figured I'd just write it in my existing thread. I bought another theme with copyright removal, did I have to buy it again or was once good for all the themes copyright removal. I bought it for the first theme I bought too. Just making sure I didn't have to pay more than I had to
Ehren
Hello, No worries. Copyright removal is usually for one skin only. If you purchase it twice, you have permission to remove it from all skins. It's not actually mentioned on this site anywhere since it's a pretty rare situation, but that's how I've handled global copyright removal in the past. canibus
That's cool, yeah I wanted another skin for another Forum I am working on. It did look a little weird having 2 of the same products in my Purchases tab though. Rather than like Copyright Removal - Splat, Copyright Removal - Carbon if you get what I mean. It kind of looked like the copyright removal may have been global for all your puchases. Anyways, thanks for clearing that up. I don't mind either way, just wanted to make sure.
