I think you've made some nice changes - great job!

Replacing the forum icons with a small emoji is a nice idea - very clean. The subforum links and the alternating forum background colours is a nice touch too.

I feel as though the post headers would look better with white text, since the current color combo looks a little odd to me:

 

I like the idea of custom background colours for category headers, but I feel like the current design (with the cream gradient) looks a little dated in my opinion. I'd personally use a solid colour for the entire background, but if the cream gradient is part of your branding, just ignore me!
