Elegant - dark variation

I picked up Infinite and Infinite Dark for my forum a few years ago and was very pleased with both. Having a good dark theme is an important usability issue for me due to visual issues to make it easier for me to read light-on-dark text, and my users appreciated the option of having light and dark variations plus the Infinite color picker.

It seems like Elegant fills roughly the same role that Infinite did, but I really wish there was a dark version. What are the odds of a dark theme with an Elegant-like color picker coming out? Failing that, how difficult would it be to modify the theme to change it to a dark background?

A dark version isn't entirely ruled out just yet. I have one other theme in production, as well as a few custom themes. I'll keep it in mind once they're finished
